i need to kno 4 my science project hurry!!What is the latitude and longitude location of the constellation perseus?Hi John!
Perseus is about 45 degrees North and 3 Hours.
In the sky, longitude is not measured quite the same as it is on earth. Rather than section off the sky into 360 degrees, like we do our earthly globe, we divide it into 24 Hours, roughly corresponding to the earth's 24 time zones, and use the term "Right Ascension" instead of longitude.
Perseus is on the 3rd Hour Circle, meaning that if you considered the point where the sun crosses the equator at the Vernal Equinox as 0 Hour, Perseus is three hours east.
In terrestrial terms ,think of a point 45 North and 45 East, which would correspond with southern Russia.
