Does the fact that President Obama is proposing the NASA Constellation program end the Return to the moon?

Pretty much, yes. Constellation was the only game in town if you wanted to get back to the moon.

As far as the other contributor, I disagree - if we took that attitude we would never achieve anything, healthcare ALWAYS needs more money.Does the fact that President Obama is proposing the NASA Constellation program end the Return to the moon? What return?

We have been to the Moon??????

Why is this money not going in to education?

What about the children?

Health Care?Does the fact that President Obama is proposing the NASA Constellation program end the Return to the moon? No, and don't be surprised that all cool dates in the plan are only 5 years after Obama is out of office...

It is pretty much a turn around to the old bad course of nothingness again, under the pressure of the same people who failed every cool thing in the US space program in the past 30 years. Congratulations, if no miracles happens, the United Space Alliance workers will remain employed, but the Unites States of America will be stuck in LEO again.Does the fact that President Obama is proposing the NASA Constellation program end the Return to the moon?Return to the moon was a last minute Bush gambit that whoever won had to be seen to pick up or get called a wuss. The moon was a military objective originally, they believed that whoever covered it w. missiles first would control the world, an early example of cartoon thinking in high places. For that kind of money it has to make sense, expect them to weasel out of everything other than military programs that masquerade as asteroid/comet repellers in future..
