All of what I can tell you for now is that NASA's new constellation program has not yet been cancelled. Although it seems like president Obama decided to spend the gov't money on some other things, and cutting NASA's budget, I would say that, Oh, don't forget that the space shuttle program is going to end this September, so NASA's budget will get a break, and might even build up and focus only on its new constellation program. Anyway, it seems like every single plan the Obama come up with fails. And by the way, If the gov't will fail in providing money to NASA, NASA will have to depend on private space companies.What is happening to NASA precisely? Nasa needed a way to quietly shut it down before a more enlightened generation proved them to be liars when it comes to space travel. There goals for the future will remain the same as they always have been. Try to get into LEO (Low Earth Orbit) and run some experiments. This is the only safe haven from certain death in outer space. Science propagandists will tell you its politics or money that shut this down, but that is lies on top of lies to cover the biggest lie, which is the Apollo project. These same people will tell you man did travel to the moon and survived the deadly cosmic,gamma,infared,electromagnetic and other types of radiation because they speed through all of these risks quite quickly. Time is but a tiny factor in the radiation exposure at those high levels. NASA has a monopoly on information beyond this planet and absolute power corrupts absolutely. When other countries get involved such as China and India they must leverage technology and information from NASA so they are not as independent as they seem. Apollo was fake, NASA lies.
