What is your favorite constellation?
orion, lots of interesting stuff in orion. and its easy to talk about it with people who dont know much about astronomy cause almost anyone can recognise it.What is your favorite constellation?big dipper... for me it symbolizes hope and a lot of opportunities to go on with my life... to achieve my dreams, aspirations and goals...

I like Orion, but so many others do also, so maybe I should give you my second choice: Cygnus. I like it because the follow-the-dots representation of the swan is probably the most realistic of all the constellations. (The big dipper isn't a constellation. It's part of Ursa Major.) Cygnus has one of the most beautiful double stars and the constellation of the swan "flies" right along through the band of the Milky Way. It really is a lovely grouping of stars.



It also has Deneb, which I like to point out in comparison to nearby Altair and Vega. Deneb is probably more of a bad-azz star than Rigel.

Hi. Orion. Seven bright stars, more than any others. Orion nebula is visible in binoculars.
My favorite is Andromeda, as the Nebula is a part of her constellation. I love looking at it in my telescope.
