That refers to the group of stars near Capella. It is the brightest star in the constellation Auriga and is easily seen all over the Northern Hemisphere. The name Capella is Latin for "she goat" and baby goats are commonly called "kids" so that's why those stars are called that. What are "The Kids" in relation to astronomy and where are they located on a constellation map?I haven't heard of a constellation or group of stars called "The Kids". There is the Pleiades cluster, also called The Seven Sisters - that is in the constellation Taurus.
The only other "The Kids" I know of are 2 bands of that name (one from Norway, one from Belgium) from the 70's and 80's.
I doubt they were astronomers. What are "The Kids" in relation to astronomy and where are they located on a constellation map?The kids are the constellation gemini also known as the twins and the lovers. the constellation is very close to orion. What are "The Kids" in relation to astronomy and where are they located on a constellation map?"The Kids" is the name given to a small triangle of stars near the bright star Capella in the constellation Auriga.
