Describe a practical way to determine in which constellation the sun is found at any time of the year?

If astrology weren't about 3000 years behind the times, a horoscope would tell you exactly that. The sign of your birthdate is supposedly determined by the constellation that the Sun is in when you were born. However, a physical reality call precession of the equinoxes makes these positions creep along by about one constellation every 2000 years. Since astrology is a complete load of crap anyway, there is no need to keep it current, but it would have been a simple answer to your question.

Fortunately, year to year, the Sun is in the smae place at the same time. Using today's defined constellation bouindaries. Here is where the Sun is throughout the year. I've listed the alternating constellations and numbers. The constellation listed is where the Sun is for the dates above and below the constelltion name. For example, the Sun is in Virgo from Septembe 16 to October 31.
