Wher and what time is the best for seeing draco :the dragon"constellation?

i am doing a project and i need to find out what time(season dates times ect.) and where is the best place to look for it. please help fast! due tommorow!!Wher and what time is the best for seeing draco :the dragon"constellation?Hi Hair!

In the north temperate zone, autumn is the best season for Draco.

During the late evenings of October and November, all of Draco is on display in the far northern sky, around eye level (about 20 degrees above the horizon).

If you looked in mid-winter evenings, the head of the Dragon might be too low to see. In spring and summer the constellation is high up, but perhaps too high unless you crane your neck.

In the Southern Hemisphere (north of the latitude of Brisbane or Johannesburg) you can see the head of the dragon in late evenings of southern winter, July and August, low on the northern horizon. In the tropics, July and August are the best times.

P.S. The dates I've mentioned are all for about 10 p.m. on the first of the month. For spotting Draco, timing to the minute is unnecessary and might lead to confusion.

Consider this. Stars move around the sky each night at the rate of 1/12 of the way around the sky in two hours. Over the course of the year, they move 1/12 of the way around the sky in one month, if viewed at the same time of night.

You can check a star atlas or perhaps Wikipedia for a list of star names. But let me mention just one: Thuban. Thuban was the north star in the time of the pyramid builders of ancient Egypt. The north pole of the sky moves with each passing century. Four thousand years ago, true north pointed far away from the current north star, Polaris, and more in the direction of Thuban.Wher and what time is the best for seeing draco :the dragon"constellation? You'll need a sky chart. Find the brightest star facing North. That gives you Ursa Minor and Ursa Major. Draco "snakes" between Cephius and Cassiopeia. Surely a science text at school shows that?

Please don't leave projects late next time to avoid this frustration but good luck on you mark.
