How likely is it that NASA's return to the moon program (Constellation) will succeed?

Haven't heard any updates to the Constellation program yet, except that NASA plans to shut down the space shuttle program in a few years, and that the budgets for the Constellation program were unrealistic.

Why can't Iran have a space program, like the Russian's did, so we can build big rockets to prove we are cooler and channel our money into something that will pay for itself in 20 years?

Anyway, anyone got details on the latest progress with NASA's constellation program? Their website was sparse with updates, but had a lot of fluff:

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/exploration/main/index.htmlHow likely is it that NASA's return to the moon program (Constellation) will succeed? If they get the funding, they will succeed. I think you make a good point, though. The cold war rivalry is what prompted the two countries to work so hard at achievement in space. Each country wanted to demonstrate the superiority of their political model, and how better to demonstrate the efficiency of their system than in their technological accomplishments in space?

China is getting interested in space. Perhaps if they raise enough eyebrows, they will get NASA interested again. How likely is it that NASA's return to the moon program (Constellation) will succeed? If NASA wants it to succeed and has the moola for it , they will succeed cause NASA has it together .
